Queensland Cancer Care Workshops
Managing the side effects of chemotherapy and cancer treatments in the community
Community pharmacists are often consulted by people undergoing cancer treatment for assistance with management of side-effects. An understanding of the pathophysiology of side effects along with current best practice in management will enable pharmacists to provide the appropriate advice, or refer back to the treating doctor as necessary. This workshop is aimed at pharmacists in community pharmacies principally, but will be suitable also for health professionals in other disciplines with an interest in improving their knowledge about cancer.
