    I’m getting up in age, way up, and know I need to get into healthy eating. I like the way the author started the book by writing about her family and looking for a classic car. After she went to the doctor and found she was anemic and insulin resistance, which causes type 2 diabetes or stroke, Evanda know she had to do something about her weight and health. She made the book personable and then got on to the subject of dieting. I enjoyed reading about the different types of carbs from the good and the bad. While the body needs carbs for energy, she wrote that if we get too many or the wrong kind, they will turn into fat if not burned off. She listed the good carbs and there are so many that I didn’t even know about. When she points out that processed foods have the bad carbs, I realized I needed to take heed to her book and start following her suggestions. The author lost 105 pounds in 11 months and her health problems were also gone. She wrote a very good and informative book and discusses exercising and work to maintain and improve health just by eating healthy on a low carb diet.

    The title of this book caught my eye instantly when I saw it, and I downloaded it and read it immediately. I was just having a conversation the other day with a close friend about trying a low/no carb diet, and I’m so glad that I read this book before doing so.

    Many people try to sell us all on the idea that a completely no or very low carb diet is the way to go, but that isn’t the case at all as I discovered in this book. I am so appreciative of the author here for presenting this invaluable information.

    The alternative to a no-carb diet is one very high in protein, and that can be dangerous due to the fact that a lot of high protein foods contain a huge amount of cholesterol. The author teaches the reader in this book how to eat a reasonable amount of carbs and still maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. I am a carbohydrate fanatic, and can easily polish off half a loaf of crusty Italian bread or a huge bowl of pasta without a second thought. This is an example of unhealthy carbohydrate consumption. The author, a former carb addict herself, has learned the benefits of eating carbs sensibly and teaches the reader to do the same. Her advice is invaluable. Moderation is the key to success with a lot of different things in life, and carbohydrate consumption is a great example of this.

    I am so glad that I discovered this book, for the information contained within it has been so helpful to me. I am always trying to get healthier without feeling deprived, and I cannot wait to put the ideas I have learned in this book to use in my everyday life. Once you read it, I guarantee you will feel the same way.

    This is a quick read book for you to really understand the values of low carb diet. She talks about what we’ve been taught about carbs and what the actual facts are. It was really interesting to read since I feel my knowledge on this subject was very limited. I really enjoyed the authors style of writing and what this book had to say. I feel after incorporating this advice into my life I feel healthier and better all together. Its a great book!
