The author, a health and nutrition coach and specialist in whole and raw food nutrition has provided a comprehensive guide to the benefits of a raw diet for pregnant women. Such a diet is something the whole family could follow to maintain excellent health. Just about every question one might have on the subject is answered here. The last section of the book is devoted to delicious recipes. from breakfast right through to beverages and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety. Also included is a sensible and useful overview of kitchen appliances. A book full of invaluable information – not to be missed.

I just discovered this cover-all guide for pregnant women. So many women gain too much weight in pregnancy and have a hard time giving birth because the baby is too large. And after pregnancy, the overweight seems to stay with them forever. – The author shows how the expecting mother can make sure her pregnancy and delivery will be easy, the weight gain moderate, and how her baby gets its nutritional needs met for healthy development. Useful tips to overcome morning sickness and other common pregnancy ailments, 56 recipes, a reviewed list of raw food gear, easy to follow instructions for food combining make the book a reliable resource for those who want to make pregnancy the best time in their life.

The concept is simple. The research is staggering. The nutritional advice is sound and based on the knowledge of over 80 yeas of practices of German and Swiss physicians. So why do so few people know about it?

Author Traudl Wohlke, health and nutrition coach for more than 35 years, lays it all out in a well-written program for a pregnant woman to follow and give herself, her unborn child, her newborn, as well her the entire family, a healthy, wholesome, and delicious foods’ advantage. She gives proper proportions, over 50 recipes and a chapter on kitchen equipment needed for preparing raw foods.

If you are a woman of over forty years of age and looking to conceive, have had miscarriages or premature deliveries, fertility issues, and edema during pregnancy… this book is well worth reading.

The author shatters half-truths about many so-called healthy foods, juices, gluten intolerances, dehydrated fruits and so much more. She lists an off beat remedy for morning sickness and a homeopathic regime for easy labor. Well done. Highly recommended.
