This was the site of a former pub which was open until the late-19th century, though it looks rather more like a former shop. Indeed, the building may have been rebuilt since it was a pub (possibly around the turn of the 20th century), so this may just be the same site.

Goodyear Airship Pilgrim

The Goodyear fleet of airships included the Pilgrim, first flown in Akron, Ohio in 1925. The Pilgrim was the first airship inflated with helium. In it’s six-year life, it made almost 4,800 flights and 95,000 miles. The gondola could accommodate a pilot and two passengers.
