Question by Ohmehlord: Does normal cholesterol in blood indicate your arteries are healthy?
I know it’s used to indicate if there’s a problem. I worry only because arteriosclerosis runs heavily in my dads side of the family even with relatively health active family members. My HDL had been normal or slightly high and my other lipids are always lower than the recommended cut off. So my blood is fine. But I remember a few years ago when I started back to the gym I’d be on the treadmill and my chest would feel tight. Happened more than once. I went to Dr and had a normal ECG, no H pylori or reflux (she decided to run a H pylori Antibody test even though I was sure I didn’t have ulcers or reflux).
I still worry with my dads history even though I’m only 26.
Is my normal blood test results a good enough indicator that I’m ok for now?
